Speaking

John McQuaig is available for speaking engagements.  Read a few of his reviews below...

"John was the featured speaker at the March 2008 meeting of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of IMC and he did a fantastic job. John's rock-solid presentation generated spirited interaction with the sell-out crowd of consulting professionals. His commitment to quality results for his clients came through with clarity. As a CMC (certified management consultant) and gifted entrepreneur, he is a credit to our profession."

— Frank Coker,
Institute of Management Consultants Northwest Chapter Past President

“Your presentation on the parallels of mountain climbing and growing a business venture was great – you had all of us right there climbing the mountains with you and all the while we were imagining our future efforts in our businesses.  I was very encouraged in my own business plans by hearing you share your experiences with your projects as well as your mountain climbing.  Excellent capstone to the IMC CONFAB conference.”

— Jan Decker,
President, Crisis Management Consulting

“Your life experiences on the mountains of the world by themselves are inspiring, espeically the challenges you faced in ascending to the summits.  When you integrated them into the consulting practice and how to become the best, it was memorable.  Simple wisdom packaged with adrenalin.  Two steps forward and one step back took on a different meaning in your context.  Well done!”

 — Dr. Baldwin H. Tom, CMC
Past Chair, IMC USA

The Building Industry Association of Washington (BIAW) had the pleasure of hosting John McQuaig at our 2007 Fall Board Meeting in Spokane, Washington.  Mr. McQuaig taught a two-hour seminar titled “Working ON Rather Than IN Your Business.”

Our members are small business owners, who rarely get to take time out to focus on coming up with strategies, marketing plans or technology improvements.  John’s program gave them a chance to do just that – he draws on his diverse background, using real-life examples to help small business owners succeed and grow in a world of increased competition and increased regulation.

To capture time and attention, a successful education program must be unique.  The program John presented to our members included props, activities that got attendees out of their seats, and back-and-forth with the class.

 — Julie Sund
Education Program Director, BIAW

While your presentation entertained us with your experiences climbing the highest mountain peak worldwide, your presentation was also effective in educating the audience about the focus, planning, and allocation of resources needed for success in business.   I believe there were several “golden nuggets” for the members to take home for this presentation.

Executive Director, UCAW
